Recipes from the Make your own Mixes class on March on March 5 and 8, 2013

It was fun to see how we could make our own mixes for popular convenience items and regulate the types and amounts of seasonings we used. I was inspired to go home and make some rice a roni mixes as well as some hamburger helper mixes to have on hand for those nights when we need a quick dinner. I also purchased some one pound packages of ground beef and ground turkey to keep int the freezer to use with the mixes. Now I have no excuse to order take-out! :)
